Pokemon Crystal: Playthrough Part 7

Taking down Team Rocket and grabbing the last Badge!

Last Time we grabbed the 6th and 7th badges and stopped Team Rocket at the Lake of Rage & Mahogany Town. Now we head back to Goldenrod to stop Team Rocket again who have taken over the Radio tower!

We head back to Goldenrod, there's a bunch of shadowy figures loitering about town - this doesn't look good.

After entering the Radio Tower and taking down the trainers within I got the Basement Key, off to the Underground!

Poking around the underground and taking down the Rockets within got me the Card Key, and I ran into Gold - he went down fairly quickly.

Back at the Radio tower, the Card Key got me into a locked room with a Rocket Executive - I beat the leader of this Team Rocket cell at least as they cleared out after he was defeated.

I got a special Soothing Bell item that has something to do with the Towers in Ecruteak, so I headed back to the Tin Tower. 3 Elders challenged me to see if I was good enough to enter, they went down quickly and gave my Lanturn some good experience.

I don't remember this from Silver, or at least it was a little different so I'm not sure what's about to happen.

Another encounter with the 3 Legendary Dog Pokemon!

Suicune attacked, after a nice battle where I was able to Paralyze him I caught him!

Back to Blackthorne City, I took down the Dragon Gym and their Leader, Clair - but she wouldn't give me her badge until I went through the Dragon's Den behind the Gym.

I eventually found the grand elder (after catching a Dratini :) ) who was to test my worthiness.

Clair showed up assuming I had failed, but the elder put her in her place. I got the 8th and final (Johto) badge!

After leaving the Den I got a call from Prof. Elm, apparently he has something for me.

Prof. Elm gave me a Master Ball! I'll tuck that away for a special Pokemon.

After checking in with my Mom I stand at the shore of my home town - next step is to take the trek to Victory Road and the Elite Four!

My Party before heading off to Victory Road. I plan to drop Skiploom and train up Bellsprout, Togepi and Noctowl need some training as well.

I'm about 34 hours in (the emulator I'm using adds quite a lot of time), 73 Pokemon by this point isn't too bad I hope :)
